Since Experience Hendrix bought-out Ed Chalpin,
we'll 
probably never again find an album like this on the official 
market. In the 1970s and 1980s, France
was a special place 
for Ed Chalpin and his notorious PPX productions. 
Numerous albums flooded the market and
today I'm sorry 
I wasn't able to buy more of them, when they were cheap and 
when I had a chance. In those
days they were considered 
garbage and money was saved for the "real stuff" on 
expensive bootlegs
and official releases.
Today, however, I see them in completely different light.
This album is unique
collection and presents Jimi at his best
during this early period of his career with Knigh and the 
Squires.
Tracks are raw, live and unedited, with drop-outs 
(I repaired them as best as I could) and lots of tape hiss but

I like them much more than hyper-edited-fake-stereo stuff 
that Chalpin often presented on other albums.
On every one of these tracks Jimi shines through and makes
them special the way only he's capable of doing. 
Do not miss the "scream" by Knight on "Something On Your 
Mind" at 3.02-3.03: "Play the
blues for me, Jimi James!!",
great playful solo on "Let's Go, Let's Go" or fantastic
solo and
rhythm guitar as well as lead vocal on funky 
"Walkin' the Dog" etc...
Jimi live in 1965!! I love
it! Hope you'll do too!
